SONG FOR DESIRE

What represses desire, silences it, or destroys it?
What also restores it?

SONG FOR DESIRE is a performance-concert — as fragmented as it is sensual — that explores, through songs, the unexpected paths of our desires.

On a bare stage, with only speakers and microphones, Italian performer Silvia Calderoni sings in her own language and ours to explore the limits of our desire. Silvia, who is immediately engaged in her body and its resistance, multiplies and scatters — through voices and layers of skin — the landscapes where our desires are shaped.

SONG FOR DESIRE is the first part of a theatrical diptych that seeks to overturn the violence we have all internalized in our bodies, through a gesture of musical and visual sharing that is as joyful as it is fierce.
